My First Blog - October 2021
Hello all,
This is my first blog so be gentle with me...
I want to introduce you to my new website www.enidandmejewellery.com
My name is Amanda.
I have been making jewellery now for 6 years; starting with personal projects and making gifts for friends and family. I love the transformation from a sheet of metal or a piece of wire into a wearable piece of jewellery that is made with love.
This is my 1st piece of jewellery – made on an Introduction to Silver Jewellery Making short course I took at London Jewellery Workshops 6 years ago now... where does the time go? Check out their courses at https://londonjewelleryworkshop.co.uk/
I have worked in the fashion industry for many years – starting out as a footwear designer/maker and latterly as a product developer & technologist for high street retailers. All of these skills have helped with my jewellery making.
I have attended a few part-time jewellery courses to learn the basic of jewellery making – both at the London Jewellery School https://www.londonjewelleryschool.co.uk/ I can recommend these short courses if you want to take the plunge; the rest I have learnt on the job.
I love figuring things out and sitting at my bench working on new creations.
Enid was my grandmother and a fellow jewellery lover so I felt it only fit to include her in my jewellery journey.
Up until now I have sold on Esty and in person at fayres – which have all been great and led me to this point.
I launched my website at the end of September so please take a look – all constructive feedback welcome.
Whether, you want to buy a piece for yourself or a loved one; from my range or would like to commission something unique – I would love to hear from you.
Please join my mailing list to receive updates on collections and new of discounts & sales first.
I will be taking part in the 6th Catford Arts Trail this month – so please drop by.
There is a great app you can download to find out the venues & the participants – search Catford Arts Trail. In your app store.
I will be at Venue #38 – Talent Factory SE6 3BH.
I would like the thank all of my family and friends for their support - this has helped me to keep going and reach this point - without you it would not have been possible. I love you all very much xxxx
